The new season of the VGPMRA Master Series sponsored by Stinger Chassis is set to roar into life this weekend at Rushworth Speedway, which is to double as this seasons edition of the Ironbark Classic. 11 drivers have signalled their intentions to launch their bid to capturing the 2025/2026 Master Series and add their name to a time honoured event.

Nominations are highlighted by current Australian & Victorian Champion Chris Fowler (A1 HMJ/Yamaha) looking to add his name again to the Ironbark Classic trophy. Last seasons Wally Anskaitis race winner Terry Brown (V88 Stinger/Yamaha) is returning to the seat after missing the last part of the season with surgery and former National Champions Mark Cecil (V3 Pearce/Suzuki) & Paul Perry (V33 - GHR/Kawazaki) are all wanting to add their names onto another Blue Ribbon event.

The Pitstop Mowers power duo of Locky Robotham (V6 - HMJ/Yamaha) and Daniel Meredith (V5 Stinger/Yamaha) both strap into Classic-winning machinery and keen to kickstart their seasons with a strong points haul.

Travis Florrimell (V81 Stinger/Suzuki) showed at last years Ironbark Classic he had re-found winning pace when he was top pointscorer, whilst Matt Kamolins (V22 BHR/Suzuki) and Mark Blackeby (V10 Stinger/Yamaha) are eager to throw down the gaunlet.

Lilly Bullock (V86 Stinger/Suzuki) is stepping out of karts after a 5 year apprenticeship and ready to step up into the big leagues in her debut in the second JF Racing Team car. The VGPMRA would like to extend a big welcome to Lilly, Shaun, Kelly & the entire Bullock family and looking foward to see Lilly in action and grow as a racer.

Defending Ironbark Classic & Master Series champion Alex Myers will be missing from this event due to prior committments, Myers Race Team have enlisted current Victorian Modified Sedan Champion Tristan McGraw (V11 PBR/Suzuki) to take over driving duties. Tristan may be famillar with Rushworth Speedway having won his title at the venue last April, but going open wheel racing will provide him with an eye opening experience.

The VGPMRA would once again like to thank Travis Florrimell & Stinger Chassis for once again coming on board as naming rights sponsor for the Master Series. Anyone who is interested in getting into the club to go and have a chat with Travis or any of the club members who will point you in the right direction.

All cars are to be in the pits by 2pm, with racing to start from 4. Tickets are available at the gate and pits will be opened before racing starts so don’t miss out on an opportunity to meet the drivers & check out the cars before the event begins.
