GP Midgets to Unleash the Excitement at Redline Raceway

The township of Ballarat is getting ready for an adrenaline-fueled night of racing action as the Victorian Grand Prix Midget Racing Association returns to Ballarat's Redline Raceway this Saturday night for a thrilling event that promises to set the track ablaze. This highly anticipated occasion marks round two of the Stinger Chassis Masters Series and the Southern Shoot-out, for 2023.

The VGPMRA has assembled a star-studded field of GP midget racers, each vying for supremacy in the Stinger Chassis Masters Series and the prestigious Southern Shoot-out. Among the contenders are seasoned competitors and emerging stars alike.

Jack Ward in the V4 car showed that the work in the off season wasn't for nothing with a solid first round before a hole in the radiator put him out of the feature race whilst Matt Kamolins known for his live wire driving and putting on a show will be back in the V5 car.

Daniel Meredith returns in the V8 car and is ready to unleash his speed and power in the pursuit of victory whilst Mark Blackeby in the V10 is a driver who will relish the high banks of Redline Raceway.

Alex Myers driving V11, is currently leading the series by 3 points and is arguably the most in form driver but he'll have strong competition from Chris Fowler, who was the last-start feature winner right there with him in the V13.

Making his debut in the V32 car is Johnny Rouse, who will be keen to get some laps under his belt and understand what GP midget racing is all about. The V36 car owned by David Bacon will also be in the house with the driver yet to be announced but rumours have it that it could be ex Australian Champion Paul Perry.

Shawn Ward in the V44 is an experienced contender with a passion for the sport and will be looking for a mends after a component failure in round one, whilst Peter Robotham in the V50 after an impressive debut performance will have the top drivers wary.

Mr. Stinger Chassis' himself, Travis Florrimell in V81 is a fierce competitor with an eye on the top spot when he returns for his first turn of the wheel for the season and Terry Brown, racing the V88, has shown remarkable improvement this season and is right up there amongst the favourites for the checker flag on Saturday night.

With such a diverse array of talent, fans can expect edge-of-the-seat action as these GP midget stars battle it out on the Redline Raceway circuit. Don't miss the chance to witness the excitement and adrenaline of GP midget racing at its finest. All the on track action will commence at 4.30pm this Saturday at 569 Yankee Flat Road, Buninyong.
