BALLISTIC PERFORMANCE PARTS MASTERS SERIES POINT SCORE IS HEATING UP
As we near the halfway point of the season the Ballistic Performance Parts Masters Series point score is starting to heat up ahead of round 5 this weekend at Redline Raceway. Current points leader Chris Fowler has had his early lead cut down to only 40 points now ahead of Jason Crawford who has closed the gap in the past 2 rounds and will certainly make things interesting to watch as the season continues. A bit of a surprise packet in rookie Alex Myers who is sitting in 3rd place on 109 points and currently leads the B-Grade championship as well with a slim 24 point lead over another rookie in Terry Brown who has also impressed despite some mechanical issues. Terry also sits 4th in points in the Masters Series. Lisa Chalcraft sits 5th in points which leaves us wondering where she might have been sitting had she contested all the rounds having only contested 2 of the 4 rounds thus far and will again be missing from this weekend’s line up. The sheep Sean Denning hasn’t had his best start to the season by his standards but will no doubt be working had to gather as many points as possible going forward to have a strong second half to the year. The other driver to comment on is rookie Chris Carr and although sitting in 7th in the standings at the moment he is not far off the drivers in front of him. His last couple of performances have shown that he has the pace but just needs to find a little more consistency however, he will be one to watch in the 2nd half of the season.
The remainder of the drivers from 8th down have all missed rounds and have the potential to move up the points ladder if they can find some consistency and compete in the remaining rounds.
