TAKE TWO FOR THE SOUTH GIPPSLAND SHOOT-OUT
The Victorian GP Midget Club will wrap up their season long Masters Series Championship sponsored by Ballistic Performance Parts this Saturday night at Nyora Speedway. The weather for the event that was washed out a fortnight ago is looking more promising this time around with a big crowd expected. The Series win will come down to only two competitors in Trevor Perry and Jason Crawford with the notable omission of Danny Stainer who currently sits equal with Crawford in 2nd place. Perry currently has a handy 47 point leader over Crawford but anything could happen come 4pm Saturday. However the racing is not only for the Series win it also doubles up as a feature race for the class with the 2nd running of the South Gippsland Shoot-out (previously South Gippsland Classic). 12 cars have nominated for the event with all the usual suspects in there such as Travis Florimell, Lisa Chalcraft and David Bacon all capable of an upset victory. Nominations have also come in from Shawn Ward, Chris Fowler, Mark Blackeby, Troy Buis, Paul Perry, Andrew Ward and Brandon Turner who are keen to finish their series off on a high note. The racing will be sensationally close and very exciting, being the last round of the series drivers will be giving it their all to try and snag the last podium of the series. The GP Midgets will put on a great show but the entertainment doesn’t stop there with Nyora Speedway having put together an exceptional program for the night which includes Wingless Sprints, Club Classes, a Demolition Derby and the car drop.
All the action will be at Nyora Speedway this Saturday night with racing starting at 4pm.
