BALLISTIC SERIES IS WAHGUNYAH BOUND THIS SATURDAY NIGHT
Round 6 of the Ballistic Performance Parts Masters Series heads north to Wahgunyah Speedway this weekend backing up after Nyora last weekend. It is the start of the silly season with 5 race meetings in the next 9 weeks in the lead up to the Australian Title. It will also be the last chance that drivers will get to fine tune their setups at Wahgunyah before the Australian Title is held there on April 22nd. All the big names will be in attendance this weekend with the new series leader Jason Crawford, Lisa Chalcraft who now sits in 2nd place and Trevor Perry who after missing points in a heat and the feature last weekend dropped him to 3rd place in the series. It's all very close at the top with only 15 points separating the top 3 which next to nothing. The winner out of this will be the spectators as every position will count as we head into the back half of the season and finishing every heat will be crucial so expect to see some action. There's also other battles that will be going on throughout the field with Sean Denning and Chris Fowler in 4th and 5th place in the series eager to put in some good performances and then there are the likes of David Bacon and Travis Florimell who are always ready to mount a challenge.
Dennis Myers is expected to be on the pace as well and should be mixing it for the lead at some point throughout the night as will Victorian Champion Mark Cecil.
So no matter which way you turn there will be chaos and close racing. Once the helmets go on the friendships are left in the pits and that's when things get very interesting for the spectators. Come watch the Grand Prix Midgets go two and three wide at Wahgunyah Speedway this Saturday with racing starting at 3pm. There's not much in life that's a guarantee but I can guarantee you will be entertained!
